the following:
the following POWER4 environments:

16 pSeries servers and 64 LPARs in a mixed server environment
A mixed server environment can contain a combined maximum of eight
p670 or p690 servers.
It is not possible to test each combination of servers and LPARs in a
mixed server environment configuration. Performance may vary depending
on the unique combination of servers and LPARs implemented.

Each HMC must have access to a graphics display, a keyboard, and a
mouse. The IBM 7316-TF2 rack-mounted display and associated VGA switch
is supported as well as existing IBM T541H, P76, P77, P260, and P275
graphics displays.
Each HMC must have access to a graphics display, a keyboard,
and a mouse. In addition to the displays offered as features of
this HMC, the IBM 7316-TF2 and 7316-TF3 rack-mounted displays and
associated VGA switch are supported as well as existing IBM T541H,
P76, P77, P260, and P275 graphics displays. The 7316 is recommended
for users who are in a space constrained environment. The C2T
Breakout Cable (P/N 00N6954) shipped with each 7315-CR2 can be used
to attach the 7316 as well as the PS/2 keyboard and mouse
available as features of the 7316, to a C2T port on the HMC.
USB keyboards and mouse which are feature codes of the HMC
cannot be used with the 7316.

The 7315-CR2 HMC supports Cable Chaining Technology (C2T), which
allows multiple daisy-chained HMCs to share the same keyboard,
mouse, and display. To use the C2T technology, the following
conditions apply:
- To use the C2T chaining, you must have a keyboard and mouse
(or Trackpoint) with PS/2-style connectors. The keyboards and
mouse that are offered as HMC features are USB-based, and
cannot be used. However, PS/2-style keyboards are available as
features of the rack-mounted 7316-TF2/TF3 Flat Panel Console
Kit product, which provides a slide-out keyboard and flat panel
display in a 1U rack-mount unit. If you are using C2T chaining
on your HMCs, this unit should be used to provide the shared
keyboard/display. The C2T Breakout Cable (P/N 00N6954) shipped
with each 7310-CR2 can be used to attach a PS/2 keyboard and
mouse on the first (or only) HMC in a chain using a C2T port.
- A C2T cable is used to connect together two HMCs as part of a
chain, which means you will need a total of one less cable than
the number of HMCs you have. These cables are orderable as
optional features:
- 4271: Cable Chain Technology Cable - C2T, 0.26 Meter
- 4272: Cable Chain Technology Cable - C2T, 2 Meter
