These models incorporate powerful Xeon MP processors with 2 MB or 1 MB full-speed L3 caches. Additional standard features include standard ECC Chipkill system memory and the following integrated functions: Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI controller Remote Supervisor Adapter II in a dedicated processor slot SVGA video controller with 8 MB of video memory Dual Channel Gigabit Ethernet controller Standard storage devices include a 24x-10x IDE CD-ROM and a 1.44 MB diskette drive. System memory can be expanded to 32 GB by removing the two standard DIMMs and adding 2 GB DIMM options into each of the 16 DIMM sockets of optional (on some models) the 16 DIMM memory card. This model contains six unpopulated, hot-swap bays They provide six storage expansion bays and six expansion slots and support up to two hot-swap power supplies. One or two 950-watt, hot-swap power supplies with auto restart capability are standard. By adding one or two optionally available xSeries 950 W Hot-Swap Redundant Power Supply options n+n redundancy can be maintained throughout various configurations. The eight bays consist of six, 3.5-inch slim-high, hot-swap drive bays, a 5.25-inch, slim-high bay with CD-ROM, and one 3.5-inch slim-high drive bay. A maximum of up to 32 GB of system memory is supported by adding a 2 GB PC2100 ECC DDR SDRAM RDIMM in each of the DIMM sockets. All supported system memory is addressable through direct memory access (DMA). This server supports 512 MB, 1 GB, and 2 GB 2.5 V, 184-pin, 16-byte RDIMMs. Supported DIMMs can coexist in the same server; however, memory DIMMs of the same capacity must be installed in matched pairs. Use the version of ServerGuide that is shipped with the system, or a later version, to load software and drivers. Earlier versions of ServerGuide may not be compatible with the server. Only the two external connectors of the ServeRAID-6M Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI Controller are supported with the xSeries 365 server. The two internal connectors are not accessible because of the 3 U height of the server. Refer to the Software Requirements section for operating system limitations. Hardware Requirements For attended installation of an operating system, this server requires a compatible: Keyboard Mouse Display Unattended or remote installation may be performed without requiring some or all of these components.
