Technical Description
|
Today the need to easily store and manage a rapidly growing volume of
data is common across a wide range of businesses. Large enterprises,
departments, branch offices, small businesses, and even professionals
like doctors and lawyers, need to store and retrieve the files generated
during their daily activities. Contributing to the increased volume are
the types of files being now stored. The file types have evolved from
the commonplace word-processing, spreadsheet and presentations files to
larger more sophisticated files, such as digital pictures, x-rays, and
multimedia files.
These IBM eServer Storage Server products offer a broad range of
affordable network attached file server solutions designed to address
these storage needs. These new offerings combine IBM's proven xSeries
