Description

IBM TotalStorage SAN Switch Cabinet C36

The IBM TotalStorage SAN Cabinet C36 (2109-C36) is based on a standard 19-inch rack, and offers 36 EIA units (36U) of vertical mounting space. It is specifically designed to support the IBM TotalStorage SAN Switch M12. The Model C36 cabinet provides two power distribution units (PDUs), with three power outlets each, and supports either one or two 2109 Model M12 switches. You must specify the country specific power cord required. The 2109 Model C36 is black and is equipped with front and rear doors, and side panels.

Ruggedized Rack Feature

For enhanced rigidity and stability of the C36 Cabinet, the optional Ruggedized Rack Feature provides additional hardware that reinforces the cabinet and anchors it to the floor. This hardware is designed primarily for use in locations where earthquakes are a concern. The feature includes a large steel brace or truss that bolts into the rear of the cabinet. It is hinged on the left side so it can swing out of the way for easy access to the cabinet drawers when necessary. The hardware that is included bolts the cabinet to a concrete floor or a similar surface. Bolt-in steel filler panels are provided for any unoccupied spaces in the cabinet. When a cabinet is bolted to the floor, the front and rear anti-tilt plates are not necessary. C36 cabinets ordered with this feature are shipped without the anti-tilt plates. Instead, the base of the cabinet has an additional front trim panel. This panel is designed to accommodate a standard AC Power outlet.
